Senior Fellow, Character Education
Fr. Tony Mancuso has served as a priest of the Diocese of San Jose for 31 years. He wrote the Center’s Build. Plant. Grow. character formation curriculum for Catholic schools and parishes, which will be adapted for other denominations and for public schools. He staffs the Center’s Ethics Camps designed for Catholic school principals and new Catholic school teachers. He is currently developing a Baptismal Catechesis Program for parishes with an emphasis on Baptism as the genesis of raising an ethical child. In addition, he is collaborating with moms to develop a ministry to young mothers and also a ministry to young married couples. Future efforts will focus on Confirmation and Marriage Prep Programs as well as high school and junior high school ethics programs.
Mancuso is currently serving as the Acting President of Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, Ca. He began his association with the Ethics Center in 2009 when he was invited to be a visiting scholar. Mancuso has served as adjunct faculty in the SCU Graduate School of Education and continues parish ministry as well at Church of the Resurrection in Sunnyvale, CA. He holds a doctorate in education from USF and an M.Div. from Saint Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore, as well as an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from SCU.
