How Women Influence Peace Negotiations and Politics Globally
Including women is the just and fair thing to do – and when it comes to peace, power and politics, including women is also the smart thing to do. During this event hosted by The Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, Ambassador Mary Ann Peters, CEO of The Carter Center and SCU alumna, will speak about the roles of women in politics, conflict, and peacebuilding and explain how including women strengthens national security and contributes to sustainable peace. SCU Women’s and Gender Studies Professor Sharmila Lodhia will join Ambassador Peters in conversation following the Ambassador’s remarks.
