Pat has served in senior management, information technology, manufacturing, distribution, product management, and business development roles with Hewlett Packard, Advance Micro Devices, PSB, Ariba, and SpinCircuit, where he was President and CEO. Pat’s experience includes early stage business planning and the rapid scaling of technology-based ventures. PSB was a B2B e-commerce outsourcing start up, Ariba was a pioneer, and leader in B2B e-Commerce and SpinCircuit was a pioneer in the electronics design and manufacturing space through its use of early web services technology. SpinCircuit was selected a Laureate in the Computerworld Honors Program: A Search for New Heroes--2001.

He has served on the Board of Advisors to the Leavey School of Business and the Center for Logistics Management at the University of Nevada Reno and numerous early stage companies. In addition, Pat has served as the Executive Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at SCU.

Pat holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a MBA in Operations Management and Information Systems from Santa Clara University, where he is an adjunct member of the faculty in Entrepreneurship. Pat’s groundbreaking work includes conceptualizing and co-founding the Global Social Benefit Incubator, GSBI, at Santa Clara University. The GSBI provides business plan training, mentoring, and incubation to award winning Social Entrepreneurs from around the world.

His work has included equally innovative initiatives with Ashoka, the Skoll Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Acumen Fund, SCU and Civic Ventures. Most recently he has co-developed the Encore Venture Accelerator — an entrepreneurial business and social enterprise experiential program for retirement eligible corporate employees.

He continues his entrepreneurial pursuits with three on going initiatives: first, Angel investing and consulting with early stage technology companies (as a member of the Band of Angels); second, business plan, supply chain and technology consulting with early stage social mission ventures and corporations; and third, with the Encore Venture Accelerator and the teaching of both Social Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation at the Hult International Business School.
