The Office of Student Fellowships supports Santa Clara University students and alumni as they apply for competitive national and international fellowships.

Recent SCU Fellowship Success
Riley Carpenter

Riley Carpenter '25, an engineering physics major, has been selected for the Barry Goldwater Scholarship, one of the nation’s premier undergraduate scholarships for STEM students.

Julia Kovatch

Julia Kovatch '23, a history major with minors in political science and urban education, was named a Cleveland Foundation Public Service Fellow.

Claire Alford

Claire Alford '25, a public health science major, was named an honorable mention for the 2023 Udall Scholarship.

Students teaching English abroad

Several graduating seniors will be spending next year abroad, teaching English in France, Japan, and Spain.

Ariana Tabrizi

Ariana Tabrizi '23, a history and ethnic studies major, has won a Fulbright award to serve as an English Teaching Assistant in Italy.

Octavio De Leon

Octavio De Leon '23, an English major, has won a Fulbright award to serve as an English Teaching Assistant in Mexico.

  • Up to $50,000 per year for two years of study in eligible graduate program
  • For degrees in the US including MD, MBA, JD, MPP/MPA, MS/MA in social sciences or STEM
