International Students

Santa Clara University has a long history of welcoming international students and scholars to our academic community.

International students choose SCU for many of the same reasons U.S. students do: our Silicon Valley location, the high quality of our research and academics, and our Jesuit, Catholic foundation.

A supportive community of faculty, staff, and peers

Help is available if and when you need it. As you begin your time here at Santa Clara, our Global Engagement Office will welcome you to the campus, providing answers to visa questions, transitioning into the American culture, and just about anything else you need.

Your professors as well as the staff in the library, writing center, and advising center will provide a network of academic support throughout your time here. And as you look toward your future, our Career Center will guide you toward finding the job and career you want.

An international community

We believe that our international students make SCU a more interesting place to study. Our large international population is a vital part of our community, and results in a campus that is worldly, culturally fluent, and diverse.

All of our students, faculty, and staff work in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Santa Clara is a great place to live and learn.
