For Santa Clara’s community of research faculty, the world is our laboratory.
From studying alongside the first female judge in Tanzania to researching food and water insecurity in the coffee-growing regions of northern Nicaragua, the reach of our work builds knowledge and understanding of the world we share.
SCU supports this important research through a range of University grants and funding sources. Our Sponsored Projects Office also helps faculty secure support for their research, from modest stipends to subcontracts and large-scale grants for major projects. The resources of our Global Engagement Office are available to SCU faculty and visiting scholars as they plan for and engage in their work abroad.
SCU is one of the top universities in the country for faculty Fulbright recipients; our professors raise global awareness, and help Santa Clara students become more thoughtful and sensitive scholars. And many faculty members are themselves international; SCU’s growing population of visiting international scholars brings unique experiences and strengths to our diverse campus community.
