Travel Policy Advisory Committee (TPAC)

TPAC reviews proposals from Faculty/Staff Program Coordinators and makes recommendations to the Associate Provost for International Programs regarding the approval of university-sponsored international travel. The Committee makes recommendations to the Provost regarding requests for exceptions to University policy regarding university-sponsored international travel.  TPAC advises on guidelines and procedures related to university-sponsored international travel.  The Committee provides guidance in keeping with national best practices and ethical engagement abroad.

Crisis Abroad Task Force

The Crisis Abroad Task Force may incorporate other consultants as needed.  The Task Force convenes to coordinate response in the event of an international or localized emergency that may impact participants in University-sponsored travel.  The members determine when to cancel or suspend University-sponsored education abroad opportunities because of significant health, safety, or legal risks to participants, or significant threat to the educational objectives of the program.

Study Abroad Administrative Advisory Group

The SCU Study Abroad Administrative Advisory Group meets regularly to discuss process and procedure related to SCU Study Abroad, international exchange, and visiting students. The agenda typically includes updates from committee members, a discussion of upcoming deadlines related to SCU Study Abroad, international exchange and visiting students at all relevant stages in the study abroad process (outreach, advising, application, preparation, abroad, return)

International Enrollment Advisory Committee

The International Enrollment Advisory Group bring together enrollment management colleagues across the University to discuss international student enrollment at SCU, national trends impacting international student recruitment, as well as initiatives throughout the University that support SCU's sizeable international student population.

Terra Dotta User Group

The Terra Dotta User Group provides feedback on developing guidelines and procedures for university-wide engagement with Terra Dotta software to support global programs and data reporting.  The group collaborates on solutions and ideas for global program management through the phases of education abroad:  Outreach/Advising; Application/Selection; Orientation/Pre-departure; Communication While Abroad; Returned Student Support.
