Request Major/Minor/Core Credit

Getting Credit Abroad

Study Abroad courses are an extension of the SCU curriculum and most students take two courses in their major or minor while abroad.  This section will help you understand what you need to do for Major/Minor/Core credit abroad. We recommended you request approval for as many courses approved as possible so you have alternatives in case a first choice course is not available.  You are not required to take the courses you got approved, but if you do, you know they are approved for certain SCU equivalency. Your course approvals will be used by the Registrar's Office to transfer grades/credits to SCU when your transcript arrives on campus.  Just a reminder that having a course approved for SCU credit does not guarantee that you will get into a class abroad.  Here's the process:

Request New Major/Minor Credit
