Child Care
Santa Clara University understands the need for quality child care for the children of our faculty and staff. Families have a wide range of needs - including infant care, preschool education, or individualized attention for special needs children, part-time care and one-time emergencies, after school supervision, and summer activities for school age children. Finding child care can be overwhelming, and often at just the wrong times.
We have compiled a variety of resources to support you in your search for the right child care needs. In addition, the University's daycare, Kids On Campus provides care for children of faculty, staff, students and alumni.
Bright Horizons back-up care programs provide employees with a safety net for those days when regular care arrangements fall through. Back-up care supplements these arrangements and is a comforting emergency alternative when you need it the most.

Kids on Campus is a self-funded, non-profit, parent participation pre-school and childcare center at Santa Clara University. Kids on Campus has been a part of the University since the fall of 1969 and serves children whose parent(s) are SCU faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Elder Care
Santa Clara University recognizes the challenge that faculty and staff face when providing care for an aging parent or loved one. Depending on the special circumstance, there is often a bewildering array of options in meeting that challenge including care alternations, special health needs, and financial considerations.
