Open Enrollment

No action needs to be taken on Workday, if you are happy with your current benefits and do not want to contribute to a Medical or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account. If you are enrolling in the Medical Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account or making any changes to your coverage, please log in to Workday and make the necessary changes to the desired plans. 



 


Blue Shield Trio HMO and Blue Shield Access Plus HMO

  • Increased hearing aid benefit from $2,000 to $4,000 every 24 months. 

     

Concern EAP

  • Services are now available for all SCU employees, including non-benefits eligible employees. 

 

Flexible Spending Account - New Vendor

  • Discovery Benefits will be replacing CBIZ as SCU’s Flexible Spending Accounts vendor 
  • Flexible Spending Accounts- Medical Flexible Spending Account, Limited Purpose Health Care Spending Account, Dependent Care Spending Account, Transit Flexible Spending Account. 

 

Life Insurance - New Vendor & One-Time Increased Guaranteed Coverage Level

  • Sun Life will be replacing Anthem Life as SCU’s Life Insurance vendor. Life Insurance Plans- Basic Life and AD&D, Voluntary Life- Employee, Voluntary Life- Spouse/Domestic Partner, Voluntary Life- Child
  • During this Open Enrollment period ONLY, all benefits-eligible employees will be eligible to enroll in Voluntary Life Employee Coverage for up to $300,000 coverage without having to complete an Evidence of Insurability. 
  • Benefit eligible employees are able to enroll in Voluntary Life- Spouse up to  $50,000 without having to complete an Evidence of Insurability. 
  • Current employees enrolled in Voluntary Life Insurance Employee- Anthem Blue Cross Multiples of Salary will have coverage level rounded to the nearest $10,000.

  • Assist America Emergency Travel Assistance and Identity Theft Protection

 

COBRA

  • Discovery Benefits will replace CBIZ as SCU’s third party COBRA Administrator. 
  • **Note: As part of this transition, Discovery Benefits will be mailing a general Notice of COBRA Rights to ALL benefits-eligible employees and their covered spouses/domestic partners **

    • If you are over the age of 65 and enrolled in Medicare, you cannot be enrolled in the HSA

      • Maximum Contribution - $2,750
    • Dependent Care FSA
      • Maximum Contributions- $5,000
      • Maximum if Married Filing Separately- $2,500
    • Monthly Mass Transit
      • Maximum Monthly Contribution-  $270

  • Wellness Week:  Virtual presentations and workshops led by many of our vendors and partners. Sign-up are required as presentations are held in a vitrual settings. 
  • Need more assistance? Sign-up for a One-on-One Session here. These sessions require sign-ups and be held via Zoom.
