From online internships across the US, to immigration-focused community organization training, to one-on-one interactions with our most vulnerable neighbors, the Ignatian Center continues to ignite the flame of Jesuit education - here, there, and everywhere.

The summer of 2020 has certainly thrown us some curveballs, but that didn't stop this year's Jean Donovan Fellows from finding meaningful engagement with their host organizations. They may not have connected in-person with their hosts, but their experiences proved to be every bit as impactful.

Making Connections and Finding Hope

Each year, the Ignatian Center invites SCU students to attend the ISN Summer Summit. This year's summit was focused on the topic of Immigration, and although it was held virtually, the program provided students with a sense of community and the drive to bring activism to SCU and their future vocations.

Last Spring's COVID-19 restrictions created some unique challenges for the Ignatian Center's Arrupe Engagement program, which typically places students in the community to learn through hands-on experience with non-profits.
