CLASS OF 2025 | SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
Saturday, December 11 - Friday, December 17, 2021
Cost: $350
This unique program for first-year students is an opportunity to build community with classmates, learn about the social and economic reality of San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland, deepen in understanding of SCU’s Jesuit tradition of community engaged education and give back to the community in which they now live.
Students' days are spent learning first-hand about poverty and houselessness in downtown San Jose and the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, engaging in conversations with those working for racial and criminal justice around the Bay area, and sharing meals with community leaders working for immigrant and education equity. This is a powerful experience for students to engage with the local community just beyond SCU’s campus.
