  • OUR MISSION

To initiate, here in the heart of Silicon Valley, an inclusive, ongoing exploration of technology’s impact on human flourishing in all its dimensions

  • OUR VISION

Between September 2018 and April 2020, Santa Clara University is hosting a series of inclusive, inquiring events that bring experts together to explore the impact of technology on all aspects of what it is to be human.  These round-table discussions, networking receptions, and focus groups will culminate in a first-of-its-kind conference engaging industry experts, educators, writers, influencers, and thought leaders from all walks of society. The conference will launch a permanent, unique initiative at Santa Clara University: a think-tank dedicated to advancing technological innovation that supports human flourishing for the benefit of all, particularly disenfranchised populations.

  • OUR VALUES
Activating the Jesuit, Catholic heritage of Santa Clara University, Tech and the Human Spirit values:
Human flourishing — across all sectors of society and all dimensions of the human experience: mind (invention, knowledge creation and sharing), body (action, health, safety, resources), and spirit (free will, connection to something larger than self, meaningfulness, dignity).
Innovation — facilitating human interconnection, knowledge sharing, and the creation of revolutionary tools and solutions.
Inquiry — interrogating the status quo, exploring new ideas, asking and the largest questions that can be asked about human existence
Reflection — the necessary preparation for action with impact
Collaboration — across all sectors of society and business
Inclusivity, co-responsibility and access — including all voices in the conversation and ensuring that all, particularly disenfranchised communities, benefit from innovation
Impact — making a positive difference, today and in the future
Optimism — about the enormous possibilities of technology for positive impact on every field of human life and work
