Popular career paths for our alumni include: campus ministry, pastoral ministry (faith formation, evangelization, social justice outreach, liturgy, music), teaching, hospital chaplaincy, restorative justice (prison / detention ministry), retreats and spiritual direction, mission identity in Catholic institutions, and work in non-profit organizations.

Please read on to discover resources for career opportunities, development, and other services.

Career Opportunities

For job announcements, see the Career Opportunities page for links to other sites with information on career opportunities in ecclesial ministry and related fields. JST students and alumni/ae may also email jstcareerservices@scu.edu to request to receive our weekly newsletter, Employment Opportunities. This newsletter links to job descriptions of positions in nearby dioceses, to employers who have reached out to us requesting applicants, and various other positions.  We often receive notification of positions, grant applications, vocational information, and calls for papers that will be posted here and in binders that are kept next to the Career Center Office, Room 206 and in Compania.

Workshops and Panels

Career development workshops provide assistance with planning and implementing a job search, including resume writing, research, networking and interviewing. Panels on ministerial and related careers feature Jesuit School alumni/ae and other professionals who share their experience with students.

Career Advising

The Career Advisor is available to meet with students privately for career advising and job search assistance. These services are available on a limited basis to recent alumni/ae. Please email Clare at cronzani@scu.edu for more details.
