LEAD Seminar Instructor
Andrew Hanson-Quintana currently serves as the Director of Spiritual Life Community (SLC) in Campus Ministry and SCU. Andrew was born in São Paulo, Brazil and his family relocated to Iowa when he was in middle school. His love of soccer took him to Creighton University for his undergraduate studies, where he studied Psychology and Communications. Greatly impacted by the Jesuit identity of Creighton, he subsequently spent 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic. Still hungry to integrate faith and social justice, Andrew joined the Jesuits and underwent 6 years of seminary formation that included graduate school at Fordham University and ministry in educational, clinical, and athletic settings. While his vocational trajectory led him out of the Jesuit seminary, Andrew's desire to help others integrate faith and social justice brought him to SCU's Campus Ministry department. In his capacity leading the Spiritual Life Community program, Andrew works with student leaders to create programming that allows students to regularly explore their spiritual lives in small groups, learn from the diversity of spiritual wisdom at SCU through events, and build strong communities that help students live out their respective faiths and spiritualities.
