Associate Director of Curricular and Co-curricular Engagement
As the Associate Director of Curricular & Co-curricular Engagement, Andrea oversees the planning and coordination of the LEAD Seminar courses, the LEAD Vocational Exploration courses, and other LEAD courses such as LEAD 10 and LEAD 100. She also manages the LEAD Fellowship Program, collaborating with campus, non-profit, and corporate partners to develop internship, research and other co-curricular opportunities. Andrea advises students with a particular focus on professional development and co-curricular engagement, and also manages programming on these topics to ensure that LEAD provides appropriate guidance regarding academic, career, and co-curricular opportunities.
Originally from San Jose, Andrea was an undergraduate, first-generation college student in Sociology at the University of San Francisco before earning an M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University. She developed her passion for serving underrepresented students because of those who helped her along her own higher education journey. She loves fostering the success of first-generation college students at SCU. When not on campus, she enjoys hanging out with her husband, daughter & dog, running, trying new food, and watching movies.
