Koret Fellowship Program
Bioengineering major, class of 2018
This immersion trip to Nepal with the Food and Agribusiness Institute allowed me to experience working with underdeveloped communities and taught me how to be compassionate and open-minded across cultural barriers. I want to create affordable health care alternatives for low-income communities, specifically in the Bay Area. However, I believe that once I am able to help serve my own community I will have the skills necessary to apply that on a global scale. I plan on returning to Nepal after graduation and participating in the same Eco-Trek with more of an emphasis on helping with health care and volunteering at village clinics.
