Summer Session Housing Application

Thank you for your interest in summer housing at SCU - we're excited to have you join us on campus! We are anticipating a lower than average number of students living on campus for Summer 2021, but will have student staff members living in the summer building, as well as a professional staff member available.


The 2021 summer session housing application will become available via eCampus on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. The 2021 summer application is due May 1, 2021. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis after the May 1 deadline.

Please keep in mind there is limited 2021 Undergraduate Summer Session housing for dates later in the summer session.

For Summer 2021, Sobrato Hall will serve as the summer residence buildings for students living on-campus.

Summer housing at SCU is offered to students in the following descending priority order. Students with Priority 1 are placed within summer housing first, and the following priority groups are assigned in descending order until space is no longer available. Due to limited space within summer housing, an application for summer housing does not guarantee an assignment for the summer nor does an application guarantee a specific room type. 

1. SCU students enrolled in summer school courses on the SCU campus
2. Pre-season athletes
3. Campus program student staff
4. Non-SCU students enrolled in SCU summer school courses on the SCU campus
5. Faculty research assistants
6. SCU students with an on-campus job
7. SCU students with a non-campus job/internship

Current On-Campus Students: On Sunday, June 13, 2021current on-campus residents who are assigned to Sobrato Hall for Summer 2021 will transition from their academic year residential space beginning at 9:00AM. All residents must transition out of their academic year residential space by 12:00PM on Sunday, June 13.

Current Off-Campus Students: Summer school residents who do not currently reside on-campus will move into Sobrato Hall on Sunday, June 13, 2021 beginning at 9:00AM.

Summer residents are only eligible to reside within campus housing during the summer term(s) for which they are enrolled in summer session courses or only during the time of their on-campus work commitment. Therefore, summer session residents will also move into Sobrato Hall at later dates during the summer months. These specific occupancy dates will be communicated accordingly to applicable summer session students.

Please note: In order to apply for on-campus summer housing, residents must stay a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks. Students staying less than 4 weeks will not be eligible for on-campus summer housing.

Summer Housing is NOT available after Thursday, September 2, 2021, as Sobrato hall must undergo preparations for the ensuring 2021-2022 academic year. Unfortunately, no exceptions are made to allow students to remain within Sobrato Hall beyond September 2, 2021.

Summer housing residents are billed utilizing a weekly rate. The week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday. 

Suite Double, $317 per student/per week
Suite Single, $404 per student/per week
Apartment Single, $433 per student/per week
