Applied Mathematician, Howard Levinson, Joins SCU

Levinson joins the department as a new tenure-track faculty member in the Fall of 2019.

Howard Levinson is a new tenure-track faculty member who has joined SCU this Fall 2019. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining our team at SCU, Howard was a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor in the mathematics department at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on inverse problems and its imaging applications. He is interested in developing efficient computational methods for solving real world imaging problems. Howard is an avid soccer player. He also plays piano and is a big fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Howard is looking forward to mentoring our majors, so drop by and say hi.
