Farris Visits Sewanee for Lecture and Art Exhibition

During the second week of Fall quarter 2018, Professor Frank Farris traveled to Sewanee, the University of the South, to deliver their Annual Sherwood Ebey Lecture. In residence for a full week, Farris presented an exhibition of his mathematical art and gave two lectures, one for mathematicians and one for a general audience. The title of his Ebey Lecture was “Creating Symmetry: Making Art with Waves.” His visit was hosted by SCU alumna Catherine Cavagnaro, now Professor of Mathematics at Sewanee.

Professor Frank Farris offers an exhibition of mathematical art at Sewanee, the University of the South, in late September 2018.
