Association for Women in Mathematics

The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) at Santa Clara University chapter holds exciting events which bring students closer together. This community supports the advancement of women in the field of mathematics. This means it does not hold gender requirements for membership, just a love for mathematics and a support for equality in the field. Some of the events which these members have held this academic year include a game night, a hike, and an informational session with local recruiters. All these events have allowed the students to come closer together as a community as well as participate in some friendly math-related competition, enjoy the beauty of nature, and gain some valuable connections.

Our AWM chapter at SCU is constantly gaining new members, so if you are a current student in the department or interested in becoming one, be sure to involve yourself in this great community.
