    This annual welcome reception is a celebration that welcomes BIPOC and LGBTQ+ first-year and transfer students to SCU.     Heritage Months

    OML collaborates with various student organizations and departments across campus to host a series of events to celebrate Chicanx/Latinx Heritage Month (September/October), Native American Heritage Month (November), Black History Month (February), National Arab American Heritage Month (April) and Asian Pacific Islander South Asian American Heritage Month (May).

    MLK Day of Service Toiletry Drive

    Every year on January 21st, the nation celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This celebration was created to acknowledge the contribution that Dr. King’s legacy has left on the United States and the world at large. Since Spring 2019, OML collabrates with various offices and departments on campus for MLK Day of Service by throwing a campus-wide toiletry drive. All donations are given to community organizations throughout the Santa Clara/San Jose area.

    Multicultural Recognition Ceremonies

    OML coordinates a series of recognition ceremonies to celebrate the accomplishments of graduating students of color and LGBTQIA+ students. Graduating students are invited to participate in these unique celebrations with their families and friends. If you are a graduating student who is interested in participating in OML's Multicultural Recognition Ceremonies who would like to be in attendance - please RSVP here.     • Asian Pacific Islander South Asian (APISA) (Saturday, June 4th, 10:00am-11:00am)
    • Latinx (Saturday, June 4th, 1:00pm-2:30pm)
    • Black/PanAfrican (Saturday, June 4th, 4:00pm-5:00pm)
    • Lavender Graduation (Thursday, June 9th, 6:00pm-7:00pm)
    • Native American (Thursday, June 9th, 4:30pm-5:30pm)
    • Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) (Thursday, June 9th, 7:30pm-8:30pm)
    All times listed are Pacific Daylight Saving Time.
