Multicultural Welcome Reception
This annual welcome reception is a celebration that welcomes underrepresented first-year and transfer students to SCU. This event is a great opportunity to meet current students, faculty, and staff who can provide more information about cultural programs, activities, and resources on campus. Students, staff, faculty and alumni please RSVP here.
OML collaborates with various student organizations and departments across campus to host a series of events to celebrate Chicanx/Latinx Heritage Month (September/October), Native American Heritage Month (November), Black History Month (February), National Arab American Heritage Month (April) and Asian Pacific Islander South Asian American Heritage Month (May).
MLK Day of Service Toiletry Drive
Every year on January 21st, the nation celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This celebration was created to acknowledge the contribution that Dr. King’s legacy has left on the United States and the world at large. Since Spring 2019, OML collabrates with various offices and departments on campus for MLK Day of Service by throwing a campus-wide toiletry drive. All donations are given to community organizations throughout the Santa Clara/San Jose area.
