Food, Food, Food!
We have two goals: to learn about food and to have fun while doing it. We focus on the impact of history, culture, and politics on cuisines we love, specialty foods for which an area is known, and foods with which we may be less familiar. We also investigate food trends, favorite chefs, new restaurants and all things food related.
A highlight of our time together is tasting foods related to the topics we explore. All of this is done through the efforts of our members who volunteer to help organize one meeting around a chosen food theme. We have discussed and tasted foods of Emilia-Romagna, LA Street Food, and varieties of mushrooms.
We meet the 3rd Friday of the month. Members are required to RSVP for each meeting so food tasting can be planned.
