Dear Colleagues,
It has been two years since we added the Landed down payment assistance program, and we are happy to announce that fifteen SCU employees (9 staff members and 6 faculty members) purchased homes with this assistance.
Landed’s shared equity down payment program typically provides employees in education with up to $120,000 towards a down payment on a home. To support even more essential professionals, Landed is increasing their shared equity down payment funds from $120k to $150k for employees who engage with Landed through December 31, 2021. The increased funds are available for 60 days after meeting with a Landed teammate and can support up to 15% of a home purchase price.
This program is open to all SCU employees working 20+ hours/week — faculty, staff, and administrators — immediately. Landed requires at least a 5% down payment to use their funds. You do not need to be a first-time homebuyer to participate.
Landed is hosting online information sessions for all employees interested in learning more about their services and about the homebuying process. These sessions are useful even if you are just beginning to consider homeownership. You can register below:
