In each issue of the Provost’s Update, it is my pleasure to introduce a new member of the Provost’s Division. In this issue, I would like to introduce Christina Guzman, Director of the Office of Multicultural Learning.

In September 2017, Christina Guzman was appointed Director of the Office of Multicultural Learning. A Bay Area native and alumna of Santa Clara University (Class of 2001), Christina received her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Christina has worked as a lecturer in Ethnic Studies and History for the past 10 years, including here at SCU. Her love for working with students and her commitment to issues of diversity, inclusion, and social justice led her to seek out the position of Director. She is passionate about empowering students and looks forward to expanding and creating programs that will impact the campus community at large. Some of her favorite things to do when not at SCU are singing in the car with her four young children and reading books of historical fiction.
