What Is Required to Become a Johnson Scholar?
To be considered for the Johnson Scholars Program, you must demonstrate that you are an exceptionally talented, high-achieving student with the intellect and drive to excel and a natural inclination to care.
As a Johnson Scholar, you will have the opportunity to continue your development as a leader, shaped by a rigorous and holistic Jesuit education at Santa Clara. During your Santa Clara academic career, you will reach new levels of academic achievement, develop deep value-based leadership insights, and strengthen your commitment to help build a better world.
The Johnson Scholars Program the flexibility to explore the intersection of your values and leadership potential. This will allow you the freedom and financial support to make far more expansive and visionary life decisions than might otherwise be possible.
What Is Expected of Johnson Scholars?
To remain a Johnson Scholar, you must maintain a 3.5 grade point average throughout your undergraduate career at Santa Clara. Each year, you also are required to write a letter to the program sponsor describing and reflecting on your experience at Santa Clara and your development as a leader.
