Lee Panich with the Anthropology Department has received a $190,522 subaward from the American Council of Learned Societies. This award will support his project "Sustaining Collaborative Approaches to the Public Interpretation of Indigenous History at Mission Santa Clara, California".
This grant will fund the implementation of a portion of the Ohlone History Working Group recommendations. Specifically, we are seeking to research the content and design of a memorial to California Indians to be placed at or near the Mission Church.
