Linda Starr with the School of Law's Northern California Innocence Project has received a $485,000 subaward from Cal OES to support the "Postconviction DNA Testing Assistance Program".

Program provides funding to conduct post-conviction DNA testing in cases of murder, non-negligent manslaughter, forcible sexual assault, and all other violent felony offenses in which actual innocence might be demonstrated. Funds are geared toward the review of such post-conviction cases and to locate and analyze biological evidence associated with these cases.
