Prashanth Asuri with the Bioengineering Department has received a $49,462 award from Terumo Medical Corporation to fund his project " Development of in vitro Thrombus Models for Device Testing".

Prashanth Asuri with the Bioengineering Department has received a $49,462 award from Terumo Medical Corporation to fund his project "Development of in vitro Thrombus Models for Device Testing." 

 

This project involves the development of benchtop in vitro thrombus replacement models to simulate sub-acute, acute, and chronic thrombus in human peripheral vascular anatomy to support Terumo Medical Corporation's efforts to design and develop medical devices, improving global patient outcomes, as well as the establishment of a joint training program for SCU students that prepares them with qualifications and aptitudes to achieve career success in the biomedical industry.
