Each ALZA Scholar receives a $13,000 one-time award; summer research wages (up to approximately $5,000 for up to two summers), academic year research wages (up to $2,500) for up to two academic years and supply funds (up to $500 total for the summer and academic year), for a total of $13,000. Candidates must be undergraduates with a declared major in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Public Health, Physics, or Psychobiology. Candidates should have a career interest in biology, chemistry, the pharmaceutical industry, or medicine and be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The research mentor will be responsible for managing award funds. The application deadline is March 13, 2020.
