Welcome to the Tuesday Teaching Tip, an easy-to-implement tool that you can use immediately in your classroom teaching.
TUESDAY TEACHING TIP: Take a moment…
As a university professor, it's important to find time to unwind and recharge throughout the term but especially now. It’s approaching mid-March, and Santa Clara University and the surrounding areas offer several opportunities to relax and enjoy cultural and recreational activities. Here are some recommendations:
- Attend an SCU Presents event
Santa Clara University’s Wind Ensemble and Orchestra Concerto and Aria Concert, for a celebration of musical storytelling with Music from the Voice and Stage, Friday, March 14, 2025 at Mission Santa Clara 7:30 PM. Discounted tickets for SCU faculty and staff. Visit scupresents.org
- Cheer on the Broncos!
For outdoor fun, catch a baseball game at Schott Stadium at 4 PM vs San Jose State March 12, or watch softball at 2:30 (vs Portland State) and 5 (vs. Harvard) on Friday the 14th. Faculty/Staff receive up to four free tickets per game. Check here for up to date information.
- Visit Local Parks for Outdoor Recreation
Take advantage of the pleasant March weather by visiting local parks. Santa Clara County Parks offer various activities and programs that can help you relax and enjoy nature. Santa Clara County Parks
- Eagle Watch! Check out what the Bald Eagles are up to in Big Bear. They are nesting 3 eggs this year.
Remember to check the specific event websites for ticket availability and any updates. Taking time to engage in these activities can provide a refreshing break and enhance your well-being.
