Since 1996, Denise K. Krane has worked with a multitude of writers. She has worked with undergraduates, graduate students, native English speakers, English Language Learners, students returning to school after years in the workforce or serving in the military, and others.
Before coming to Santa Clara University in 2007, Denise earned her M.A. in English with a focus on Composition Pedagogy and taught undergraduate writing courses at the University of Oregon. Prior to graduate school, she worked at the Student Academic Success Center at U.C. Davis--first as an undergraduate and then as a post-graduate writing specialist.
Some of her current research interests include transfer and the teaching of writing, argumentation, writing center pedagogy, and writing in the disciplines.
