We are excited to be able to have our student instructor, Ashley S., back to teach yoga this fall. All of the class information is below EXCEPT the Zoom links - those are on the new Get Connected Event Calendar. The best way to view all the events in the calendar is to ADD it to your calendars by selecting the + sign in the lower right - this will allow you to search for keywords or departments. Search yoga and you will find all the classes and the zoom links. All classes are FREE and there is no registration needed for these classes but are limited to the 300 users over our Zoom account. All classes will be recorded if you are unable to attend and posted on the Campus Recreation YouTube channel within 48-hours. If no one attends the class within the first 10 minutes we will not be recording the class.
For each class, we will be sharing a Spotify playlist for you to play during the class. We want to make sure you are able to hear Ashley and believe this is the best for you to be able to hear her and the music.

Our instructor is junior, Ashley Scates, who is a certified yoga instructor with Campus Recreation. We strongly recommend that you participate in a space that is suitable for these activities and follow the suggestions of your healthcare provider in terms of levels of participation. Participants are encouraged to stop if they experience pain or injury and should seek appropriate medical advice. This class will be recorded and within 48-hours will be available on the Campus Recreation YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/SCUCampusRec) for you to be able to continue your yoga practice.
Gentle Flow - two class sessions: 10/15 at 12 p.m. (no recording no one attended) & 11/17 at 5 p.m.
In this class, we will move gently and intentionally to strengthen and awaken our bodies. We will do slow yoga flows to allow you to be present with your mind and body through movement. This class is designed for all levels, so come one and come all!
Power Vinyasa - two class sessions: 11/2 at 9:30 a.m. & 11/30 12:00 p.m.
Vinyasa Yoga synchronizes breath with movement to flow from one posture to another. We will incorporate sun salutations, balancing postures, twisting, lots of chaturangas, and more to bring energy and power to your being. This class is designed for all levels, so come one and come all!
Yoga Strength - one 75 minute class session: 11/14 at 10 a.m.
Join us for an invigorating vinyasa flow with an emphasis on strengthening your whole body. We will incorporate exercises to engage all your muscles and leave you feeling strong! This class is designed for all levels, so come one and come all! We will do 60 minutes of yoga for this class and then 15 minutes of meditation to complete our time together.
Restorative Yoga - two class sessions: 10/28 @7 p.m. & 12/6 at 7 p.m.
Come unroll your mat for a restorative yoga class. This class will focus on relaxation and releasing tension in the body. We will incorporate gentle movement with static restorative postures to help your body find surrender.
