Take Action: Strength in Numbers

Let’s call on our communities to work together to create positive change!

From the people we live with, our classmates, clubmates, teammates, religious communities and everyone in the Bronco family, we all are a part of some sort of community. Let’s call on our communities to take action because our collective actions CAN make a difference!

Reduce source waste by using reusable dishware at club meetings, socials, potlucks, University-sponsored events and gatherings rather than single use items. Asking for an Eco-Tray in Benson instead of a disposable to-go container saves money and also contributes towards the goal of reducing waste at SCU.

Reuse event supplies through the Lending Library as well as your colleagues from different departments and friends. Donating or using items from the Share Shelf also contributes to a culture of reuse within our communities.

Recycle items in the office and home. If you are an on-campus resident, familiarize yourself with steps to properly recycle your extra items, especially during Move-Out!

Most importantly, treat every member of your community with dignity and respect. Get involved by joining a student organization or online forum of individuals committed to sustainability!
