Google Group management settings are changing

Beginning in June 2019, the group management settings for Google Groups will change. Details of the change can be found here.

Santa Clara University has selected G Suite as its collaboration and communication software tool set. Applications include email, contacts, calendar, groups, drive, docs, web sites, and more. Google makes getting answers to your G Suite questions easy. Get the help you need by using the G Suite Learning Center or Google Support site.

Google Group management settings are changing

Beginning in June 2019, the group management settings for Google Groups will change. Google is making groups simpler to manage, by combining settings that have similar functions, and removing some rarely used settings.

These changes affect both new and existing groups.

Because settings are being combined, some users might lose permissions to manage group members or content, depending on the permissions they have now. Group owners will continue to have the ability to correct users' permissions after the update. To compare how your groups' permissions will look, you can make a copy of this spreadsheet, and follow the instructions on the first tab:
