University Budget Council

The purpose of the University Budget Council is to help develop the annual macro budget proposal in the context of long-range financial planning.

The council, which includes faculty, staff and administrators, meets over the fall term to consider major factors in the macro level institutional budget.  Enrollment, tuition, room & board rates are considered as are financial aid, operating and capital expenditure needs.  The process culminates in operating and capital budget proposals for the Board of Trustees to consider early in the winter term.

The University Budget Office staffs the council and performs analyses, modeling, projections, and research to inform the group as it moves through the fall planning process.
