November Campus Rec News
Happy November - this quarter is flying by! In this newsletter, you will find information about holiday hours for Thanksgiving Break, spouse membership reminders, and more - read below for all the details.
We have been busy this fall and have crowned our first IM champions of the season for tournaments and cannot wait to give t-shirts away for our remaining sports.
Students, we hope that you are taking time for yourself as you manage through mid-terms and get ready for finals. Check in to Malley and shoot a basketball, or just walk around campus to take a break from studying. As little as 10-minute blocks here and there are all that you need.
We hope that you will take a moment to participate in Gratitude Month this November. More details at the end of this newsletter- this is a program for all students, faculty, and staff.
Be Well Broncos- Janice DeMonsi, Director of Recreation
Meet the Coordinators
This month we are going to introduce you to our five Facilities and Budget Student Coordinators at the Malley Center. Next month we will introduce more of the 14 that help us make everything run behind the Campus Rec scenes. In the photos From left to right, we have:
Lucero '24 (Law) - Lucy is the Facilities Student Coordinator. She assists with overseeing the facility, equipment and lays down the law as she oversees the Facility Supervisor Student Employees.
Lauren '24 - Lauren is the Student Budget Coordinator, and all day she cries over the Malley Center expenses and lack of budget to support them.
Matthew '26 - Matthew is the Aquatics Student Coordinator, managing anything water related at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. You will never see a lifeguard without a hip pack, thank Matthew for his services.
Alana '24 - Alana is our Membership Services Coordinator. She assists with managing guest passes and alumni memberships. She makes Lauren happy, as these things bring in revenue.
Zoe '25 - Zoe is the Fitness Student Coordinator. She oversees the day to day operations of the weight room and fitness classes, expertly taking stock of the overused equipment and working her quads and tris while putting weights back.
