3-Point Thursday
- Remember that time we _____ at SCU? Take a moment during this strange period and pause to reflect on memories from your time at Santa Clara University. From squeezing around the TV to watch the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show to experiencing the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, what are some of your favorite memories?
- Virtual Event—Sharing Where We Are Now: Struggling to adjust to changes in how you work, socialize, and learn? Join members of the Bronco Community, including Washington, D.C. Alumni Chapter President Emily Glaessner '14, on Tuesday, May 5 at 12:15 p.m. PDT to hear about how they have adjusted to this unprecedented time in our lives. We also invite you to share your own experiences with the group.
- The Show Must Go Online: The performing arts thrive on the connection of audience and performer, but COVID-19 has moved our venue at SCU Presents to a different kind of stage. As director of "The Revolutionists" and the Paul L. Locatelli, S.J. University Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance, Michael Zampelli, S.J. faced the challenge of figuring out what it means to be engaged with people who are not physically present. "We have to be open to understanding presence as something that is more spiritual and more creative than physical at some times," said Zampelli, M.Div. '92, S.T.M. '93 from the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University. Hear more in the latest episode of "Bridging the Distance," with SCU President Kevin O'Brien, S.J.
