Retail Management Institute (RMI)

The Retail Management Institute (RMI) is a recognized academic partner of the retail industry with a nearly 40-year history. RMI has a strong reputation for developing strategic leaders with the advanced skills necessary for success in the technology infused world of retail.

RMI's Retail Studies Minor is both a curriculum and experience-based program. Curriculum offers strong business theory in the classroom through a diverse set of core requirements covering marketing, economics, data analytics, consumer behavior and technology and information systems.

One of the most valuable and unique aspects of RMI's Retail Studies Program is participation in an internship. This opportunity provides students a view into the retail industry and potential career options. RMI internships partners provide exposure to roles in e-commerce, buying, merchandising and digital merchandising, planning and allocation, digital marketing, social media and supply chain management and many additional facets of retail and technology related companies.

RMI connects to the retail industry through relationships, cutting-edge curriculum, guest speakers, corporate field trips, conferences and tradeshows, internship and career development, mentoring, scholarship opportunities and sense of community to fully prepare RMI students to be job ready.
