Class of 2026 Undergraduate Commencement - Heat Advisory & Accommodations
Dear Graduates and Guests,
We are looking forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 this weekend at Santa Clara University’s Undergraduate Commencement on Saturday, June 13!
Please note that high temperatures are expected on Commencement Day. As the ceremony will take place outdoors, we encourage all graduates and guests to come prepared by wearing sunscreen, bringing a hat or other sun protection, and staying hydrated throughout the event. Complimentary water filling stations and cups will be available throughout Stevens Stadium.
In addition, two cooling centers will be available for guests seeking relief from the heat:
- Locatelli Cooling Center
- Leavey Cooling Center
Both cooling centers are most easily accessed via the South Entrance. Each location will feature a livestream of the Commencement ceremony, allowing guests to view the event while staying indoors. Complimentary water will also be available at both cooling centers.
Please note that a valid guest ticket is required for entry into Stevens Stadium and both cooling centers.
We will also offer an ADA seating tent for guests requiring additional accommodations. This tent features extended aisles and rows and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To accommodate as many guests as possible, each guest utilizing ADA seating may be accompanied by one companion. The ADA tent is most easily accessed via the Main Entrance.
Additionally, shaded seating will be available under tents on the Locatelli Lawn. While this seating area is outside the stadium and does not feature a livestream of the ceremony, it provides a comfortable option for guests who wish to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and heat.
All seating options described above will be available when doors open at 7:15 a.m. on Commencement morning.
More detailed information regarding Commencement Day can be found on the Undergraduate Commencement Guest Informational Email sent on Monday, June 8, as well as a list of prohibited items that cannot be brought into Commencement venues.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We look forward to welcoming you to campus on Saturday.
