Announcing New University Resource Advancing Impact 2030 and Global Travel
Dear Colleagues,
To advance SCU’s strategic plan, Impact 2030’s goal, Reach on a Global Scale, I am pleased to share that the University has partnered with a new international travel assistance provider. This will enhance emergency medical, travel, and security assistance support for global university-sponsored travel for students, faculty and staff. Implementation was completed earlier this month and this new resource through International SOS is available immediately.
Many people have been involved in bringing this new resource to SCU to advance Impact 2030 and I would like to thank, in alphabetical order: Sara Branley, Director of Study Abroad, Global Engagement; Kelly Douglas, General Counsel; Sam Florio, Associate Vice President Auxiliary Services; Wilson Garone, Vice President for Finance and Administration; Jill Stallman, Assistant Director, Risk Management & Insurance; Jim Glaser, Provost; Staci Hagen, Director of Global Health Safety and Risk, Global Engagement; Tracie Lemmon, Assistant Budget Director; William Lo, University Budget Director; Kate Morris, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs; Ed Ryan, Vice Provost for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. In particular, I would like to thank Staci Hagen in Global Engagement who managed the heavy lifting required for a successful implementation process.
You can refer to details about SCU’s expanded emergency medical travel and security assistance on our new webpage.
I am excited for our community to utilize this new resource. As travelers begin to use this benefit, we expect that additional questions of implementation may arise. As always, please feel free to contact us at associateprovostglobal@scu.edu. Also, you can provide feedback via our Google Form.
Thank you for all that you do to make SCU global.
Bon voyage,
Susan Popko
Associate Provost for International Programs
