As shared previously, federal government changes impacting Global Engagement at SCU, including potential impacts to students, faculty, and staff, can be found on our U.S. Government Updates Impacting Global Engagement webpage.

This email is to advise our community that the webpage has been updated with a time-sensitive opportunity for you to take action and comment on a proposed regulation change. Comments are due September 29, 2025. The proposed regulation change would have deeply concerning consequences: it would shorten the time that international students can study in the U.S. and prevent international students from pursuing multiple academic programs. If enacted, this change will profoundly limit SCU's international students and transform our campus community. 

As a reminder, we are in direct communication with relevant students, faculty, and staff when specific members of our community may be impacted based on their situation.
