At the 5:15 p.m. Mass on Friday, May 25, Feast of the Annunciation, we will pray an abbreviated form of Pope Francis’s Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to Our Lady. See more on Pope Francis’s call for prayer here.
Liturgy Schedule
Tuesday-Friday, 8:00AM & 5:15PM and Saturday, 8:30AM.
On Thursday evening, March 31, we will celebrate a Lenten Reconciliation service. JST lay students Annie Hayes and Alexandra Bishop will co-preside. This will be a Liturgy of the Word with Examination of Conscience. At the conclusion of the liturgy, those who wish may attend individual confession.

JST & Bannan Forum of the SCU Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education present:
Anti-Asian Racism and Catholic Social Teaching: A Critique of the Bishops’ Pastoral Letter Against Racism
March 29, 6:30 p.m. PST via Zoom. JST will screen this lecture in the Manresa Room, or you may attend on your own. Soup supper will follow the 5:15 p.m. Mass, so those who wish may enjoy their soup while viewing the screening at JST.
Fr. Joseph Cheah, OSM, GTU alumnus and Professor of Religious Studies and Theology at the University of St. Joseph
Fr. Cheah, who is originally from Myanmar, will outline the various ways that CST’s principles of human dignity, common good, solidarity, and subsidiarity are already reflected in the practices of many community-based and AAPI organizations working with the vulnerable and marginalized population in the AAPI communities. JST Announcements
JST Commencement Celebrations
1) Commencement Mass, Friday, May 20, 5:15 p.m., JST Chapel, followed by reception with appetizers and beverages. Graduates will receive a blessing after communion. This will be livestreamed.
2) Lay Sending Liturgy, Saturday, May 21, 10 a.m., JST Chapel. This is a Liturgy of the Word in which the school community sends forth our lay graduates for ministry and service in the Church and in the world. Lay graduates may choose whether to participate in receiving the rite of sending. This will be livestreamed.
3) Commencement, Saturday, May 21, 3 p.m., All Souls Episcopal Church, Berkeley, followed by light reception with desserts and beverages. This is the academic ceremony in which graduates receive their diplomas. This will be livestreamed.

Soup Supper: A light supper of soup and bread will be served after 5:15 p.m. liturgy on Tuesday evening, March 29. Alexandra Bishop, M.T.S. student, has volunteered to prepare soup this evening. If you and some others would like to volunteer to prepare together a soup for Tuesday evening soup supper, please contact Paul Kircher at pkircher@scu.edu Degree program cohorts and other groups are especially encouraged to participate!
