Dear Members of the University Community,
Last week, the Class of 2024 gathered to celebrate their many impressive accomplishments at the annual Senior Toast. We are delighted to announce the students who received University Awards.
- The Valedictorian honor is conferred annually on a graduating senior selected for outstanding academic achievement and University service. The Valedictorian for the Class of 2024 is Simon Lanzoni who is graduating Summa Cum Laude having completed two majors: one in music and one in Italian Studies. We look forward to his valedictory address at our Undergraduate Commencement.
- The Nobili and Saint Clare Medals are given to two graduates judged outstanding in academic performance, personal character, school activities, and constructive contribution to the University by the faculty and the provost. The Nobili Medal is awarded to Allen Dao who is graduating with a degree in biology. The Saint Clare Medal is awarded to Francesca D'Urzo, an English major with minors in Journalism and Italian Studies.
- The Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J. Award is given to a graduating senior who exemplifies the ideals of Jesuit education, especially being a "whole person of solidarity in the real world" and having the courage and faith to build a more just and humane world. The Kolvenbach Award is presented to Jules Holland, a major in environmental studies and political science.
- Laura Clark, Ria Panda, Kimber Wood, and Grace Yonkers-Talz have received the Richard J. Riordan Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the area of community service.
