Aetna PPO is the SCU Student Health Insurance Plan
Santa Clara University has instituted a MANDATORY health insurance requirement for:

All new Incoming Undergraduate Students

Returning/Continuing Undergraduate Students

All International Students holding an F1 Visa (this includes undergraduate, graduate, law and JST students)
NEW INCOMING SPRING UNDERGRADUATE DEADLINE: APRIL 12, 2013
All Undergraduate Students must either enroll in the University sponsored insurance plan or show proof of your own health insurance plan by completing the on-line waiver form by the deadline date. The waiver will be accepted if the student’s insurance is comparable to the University sponsored plan. If you do not submit an acceptable waiver, you will be automatically enrolled in the University sponsored Aetna PPO plan and your student account will be charged $897.00 for the spring/summer insurance policy.

NEW INCOMING SPRING F1 VISA GRADUATE DEADLINE: APRIL 12, 2013
F1 VISA International Students must either enroll in the University sponsored insurance plan or show proof of your own health insurance plan by completing the on-line waiver form by the deadline date. The waiver will be accepted if the student’s insurance is comparable to the University sponsored plan. If you do not submit an acceptable waiver, you will be automatically enrolled in the University sponsored Aetna PPO plan and your student account will be charged $1,014.00 for the spring/summer insurance policy.

For all Domestic Graduate Students, and those on a VISA OTHER THAN F-1, enrollment into the University's sponsored insurance plan is VOLUNTARY. To enroll into the 2012/2013 Aetna PPO insurance plan, CLICK HERE.
NEW INCOMING SPRING/SUMMER F1 VISA LAW DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 18, 2013
Incoming F1 VISA International Students must either enroll in the University sponsored insurance plan or show proof of your own health insurance plan by completing the on-line waiver form by the deadline date. The waiver will be accepted if the student’s insurance is comparable to the University sponsored plan. If you do not submit an acceptable waiver, you will be automatically enrolled in the University sponsored Aetna PPO plan and your student account will be charged $1,364.00 for the spring/summer insurance policy.

RETURNING JESUIT SCHOOL THEOLOGY STUDENTS DEADLINE DATE : AUGUST 21, 2012

All JST Students must either enroll in the University sponsored insurance plan or show proof of your own health insurance plan by completing the on-line waiver form by the deadline date. The waiver will be accepted if the student’s insurance is comparable to the University sponsored plan. If you do not submit an acceptable waiver, you will be automatically enrolled in the University sponsored Aetna PPO plan and your student account will be charged $1032..00 for the Fall insurance policy.
