Things to Consider When Ordering Your Paver
Three paver sizes are available with several optional lines for engraving.
Note: spaces are consider a character.
Size 1: 6 x 12 paver (3/4" letters - 14 character space maximum per line):
2 lines of engraving = $250
3 lines of engraving = $500
4 lines of engraving = $1,000
Size 2: 12 x 12 paver (3/4" letters - 14 character space maximum per line):
8 lines of engraving = $5,000
Size 3: 24 x 24 paver (1 1/2" letters - 14 character space maximum per line):
8 lines of engraving = $10,000 for individuals
8 lines of engraving = $20,000 for corporations/foundations
* The initial deadline for paver orders has passed and the walkway has been installed. You may still place an order, but installation will be delayed until a future date when we have 500 or more pavers inscribed and ready to be installed.
* Your gift towards any size paver is tax-deductible and all proceeds benefit the new Learning Commons and Library Fund.
* Pavers will not be ordered until full payment has been received and will be installed in the order they are received.
* SCU reserves the right to request engraving changes or deny a submission. Please review the guidelines below for messages below prior to placing your order.
Guidelines for Paver Inscriptions:
Santa Clara University has established guidelines for paver inscriptions in order to safeguard the undeniably positive image that we all exude. The University reserves the right to review and approve all inscriptions before the paver is engraved. Please adhere to the following guidelines to ensure that your personalized brick will be approved and prominently installed for display at the new Commons and Library.
1. No obscenities or profanities.
2. No acronyms that could be construed as obscene or profane.
3. No derogatory messages (explicit or implied) based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, or sexual orientation.
4. No sexually explicit messages or double entendre.
5. No derogatory message regarding SCU, other schools, any individual or entity.
6. No political messages.
