SANTA CLARA, CA - June 19, 2008.  Santa Clara University School of Law adjunct professor, Eugene Hyman ’77, and the State of California Superior Court for the County of Santa Clara will be honored with the 2008 United Nations Public Service Awardat a ceremony on June 23 in New York City. Hyman and the court are being recognized in the category of ‘Improving transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in the Public Service’ for ‘Juvenile Delinquency Domestic Violence and Family Violence Court.’

SANTA CLARA, CA - June 13, 2008. Philanthropist and venture capitalist B.J. Cassin addressed the class of 2008 at Santa Clara University’s graduate school commencement ceremony on June 13. Cassin gave the newly minted graduates a few words of advice, “Work hard, laugh often, and keep your honor,” he said.

SANTA CLARA, CA – May 23, 2008. Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business has received a $1 million grant from the San Francisco-based Koret Foundation, bringing fundraising for the $48 million project to $41.7 million.

SANTA CLARA, CA – May 17, 2008.   The Honorable Phyllis Hamilton, U.S. District Court Judge and a Santa Clara University School of Law alumna addressed Santa Clara Law’s class of 2008 at a commencement ceremony held today in the University's Mission Gardens.   

SANTA CLARA, CA – May 15, 2008. Barry Z. Posner, Dean of Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business, has announced he will step down as dean at the end of the 2008-09 academic year. Posner has served as dean since 1997. After a year-long sabbatical, Posner will return to SCU as a professor of leadership.
