Santa Clara University Law School is entering another world this Thursday evening, inviting prospective students to learn about applying to the law school through a workshop taking place in Second Life, the "virtual world" inhabited by 15 million "residents" who turn themselves into cartoon "avatars."

Just in time for Darwin Day -- held on or around Feb. 12 in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth -- two exhibitions opening at the de Saisset Museum showcase the relationship between art and the natural world. On view from Jan. 24 through March 20, Natural Blunders and Flora and Fauna from the Permanent Collection all include artwork that addresses the relationship between humans and nature.
