If you need to replace an uploaded file with a new version, you can use Commonspot's Subsite Administration forms to update it, instead of uploading a unique new file.

The Blog Feature element has been revised in the new site design. By default, the featured posts are displayed using a styled list, with options to expand/collapse list items to view the blog post text. An option is available to display the featured items using the "directory list" style. Set the custom parameter display=list to apply that change.

In the new site design, the blog element doesn't include a navigation menu by default. You can add navigation for Recent Posts, Categories, and Archives to your blog page by displaying the right column and adding the "Blog Navigation" element from the Right Column category in the Element Gallery.

The base template in Commonspot includes a Layout element in the center column, with one cell for page content. The initial layout of content within the center column can be changed by adding rows, columns, and modifying the individual cell properties.

A Commonspot patch was scheduled to be applied earlier this morning, and the application of the patch caused the authoring server to block Commonspot login attempts, and produce numerous display errors.

We've completed testing of the most recent release for Commonspot, version 4.6 service pack 3, on our development platform. We plan to install this upgrade on the cms and www servers on Wednesday, Feb. 14th, starting at 7am.

If you've upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, you may find that the option to insert or modify tables in the Commonspot rich text editor is not working. This is due to a default setting in Internet Explorer that disables "scriplets".
