Dear Graduate,

Congratulations! We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments at Santa Clara University’s Commencement on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

Please review the information below detailing registration and important deadlines for the Class of 2022 Commencement, Senior Toast, Golden Circle Concert, Campus Liturgy, and Grad Bash.

UNDERGRADUATE COMMENCEMENT - JUNE 11, 2022

The 2022 Commencement format consists of a continually moving .75-mile walking procession through Santa Clara University’s campus starting in front of the Dowd Art and Art History Building. You will choose from one of three processions: 9 a.m., 11 a.m., or 1 p.m.

• Each graduate may bring four (4) pre-registered guests to their pre-selected Commencement procession. All guest tickets will be scanned and verified before entry. 
• Class of 2022 graduates, dressed in academic attire, will have their name read aloud, receive their diploma cover, and have their photo taken by a professional photographer as they cross the ‘stage’ in front of the historic Mission Church.
• The Commencement stage crossing will be livestreamed for all to view and the link will be posted on the Commencement website.
• Purchase your academic attire by May 19, 2022.
• If you have achieved Honors status, you will receive an email in mid-April detailing Honor Cord pick-up instructions.

COMMENCEMENT REGISTRATION via MARCHING ORDER

You will receive an email from commencement@scu.edu granting you access to the Commencement registration system, Marching Order.

• On Wednesday, April 6 via Marching Order, you can set a password, review the phonetic pronunciation of your name and upload a photo that will be added to your personalized Digital Graduation Card (see sample from Class of 2021).
• On Wednesday, April 13 at 4:00 p.m., you may select your procession time slot (9 a.m., 11 a.m., or 1 p.m.) on a first come, first served basis. You will also register up to four (4) guests at this time. You will need to enter the guest’s name and email address where you want their ticket delivered. 
• Each graduate is guaranteed four (4) guest tickets. If you need to edit your guests names or emails at any time, you may resubmit the form before June 10.
• If you plan to register with friends for a particular time slot, we advise that you plan in advance before a time slot has reached its capacity.
• Once a time slot has reached its capacity (500 graduates per time slot) - it will no longer be available for registration. Should you need to change your time slot at a later date, you may resubmit the registration form. 
• The Commencement Office will not be hosting a waitlist for time slots that reach capacity. Instead, we advise that you continue to check the Marching Order registration form for new availability which will automatically update as other graduates change/cancel their selection.
• Those that arrive together, process together! For each time slot, graduates will cross the stage in the order they arrive, so if you plan to process with your friends, all graduates and guests must arrive at the same time. 

MARCHING ORDER GUEST TICKETS AND GRAD PASS 

Once you have registered yourself and your guests after 4 p.m. on April 13, you will have the ability to email your guests their tickets and access to your Grad Pass.

• Guest Tickets each have their own unique QR code and are required for entry. Only one scan per ticket will be allowed. Duplicate scans of the same QR code will not be permitted.
• We are only able to offer four (4) guest tickets per graduate. If you need additional tickets, we recommend checking with other graduates to see if they have tickets they will not be using.
• Grad Passes also have a unique QR code and are required for entry. Your Grad Pass will be scanned before you cross the stage in order for your name to be read aloud.

CLASS OF 2022 AWARDS, VALEDICTORY ADDRESS AND SENIOR TOAST - JUNE 1, 2022 

Graduates and one (1) guest are invited to attend the Senior Toast on Wednesday, June 1 at 4:00 p.m. to celebrate the impressive accomplishments of the Class of 2022 graduating seniors. The Class of 2022 Valedictorian will offer remarks and honored faculty and staff will offer a blessing and a toast to our graduates. An outdoor reception in the Mission Gardens will follow the ceremony. The program will be livestreamed for all to view and the link will be posted on the Commencement website. GOLDEN CIRCLE CONCERT - JUNE 4, 2022  

Class of 2022 graduates are invited to join SCU donors and the campus community at the 56th Annual Golden Circle Concert featuring Journey at Stevens Stadium on the evening of June 4. Graduating seniors will have priority student seating! A special memento will only be distributed to the Class of 2022 attendees! If you plan to attend, please register via the form below by May 27. Don't Stop Believin' because you won’t want to miss out on this incredible experience with your fellow graduates from the Class of 2022!

CAMPUS LITURGY- JUNE 10, 2022

Graduates and their families are invited to participate in a student-planned Liturgy on Friday, June 10 at 5:00 p.m. in the Mission Gardens.

GRAD BASH - JUNE 10, 2022

The Alumni Association will host a celebration at Bellomy Field on Friday, June 10 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., immediately following the Campus Liturgy. The event will include food, beverages, music, lawn games, and photo ops. Each graduate will be given a complimentary ticket to attend and the option to purchase up to six (6) guest tickets at $50 each. The Alumni Association looks forward to showing graduates what it means to be a Bronco for life! #SCUAlumni Registration for this event will open on Wednesday, April 13 at noon and additional information can be found here.
